Kunstvolle Opal-Saphir-Rubin-Brillant-Anhängerbrosche
Elaborate opal sapphire ruby brilliant brooch. Mid 20th C. Yellow and white gold 18k, opal weighing circa 80 carats, 38 sapphires weighing 1,90 carats, 32 rubies weighing 1,60 carats and 84 diamonds and diamonds with brilliant-cut weighing 1,33 carats.

Mitte 20. Jh. GG/WG 18 Kt. Tropfenförmige Schauseite mit flankierendem Blütendekor und bekrönender Schleife, im Zentrum besetzt mit einem Opalcabochon von ca. 80 ct, umgeben von 38 Saphiren von zus. 1,90 ct und 32 Rubinen von zus. 1,60 ct als Blüten, begleitet von 84 Diamanten und Diamant-Brillanten von zus. 1,33 ct V.S.-S.I., Weiß in Chaton- und Kornfassung. H. 7,2 cm. 50,6 gr.
Einer der größten in Europa gefundenen Opale stammt aus der Stadt Dubník in der Slowakei. Mit einem Gewicht von 600 Gramm ist der 1775 entdeckte Edelopal heute ein berühmtes Ausstellungsstück des Naturhistorischen Museums in Wien.
