Splendid world map, printed from Joan Blaeu's plate with his name erased and replaced by the adress of Valck. Good condition, restored tears on the outer margins, newly glued. Unframed. Novus planiglobii terrestris per utrumque polum conspectus. Amsterdam, um 1695. Kolorierter Kupferstich. Eindrucksvolle Weltkarte in zwei Hemisphären in Polprojektion. Der obere Bildteil verziert mit Wolkenornamentik sowie links und rechts mit Sonne und Mond und einer Armillarsphäre in der Mitte. Im unteren Bildteil eine verzierte Kartusche zwischen zwei Szenen der Erschaffung der Welt mit Adam und Eva, Wasser, Land und Tieren. Guter Zustand, rest. Fehlstellen sowie Risse im Randbereich, Blatt neu aufgeleimt. H. 40,5, B. 53,8 cm (Darstellung), H. 46,3, B.59,4 cm (Blattgröße). Ungerahmt.
Es handelt sich hierbei um einen bis auf die Verlegeradresse identischen Druck von Joan Blaeus Platte dieser Weltkarte.
