Wohl Byzantinisch 6. - 7. Jh. n. Chr. GG 22 Kt. (geprüft). Bogenbrisur mit ovaler Schauseite, zentral besetzt mit je einer Glaskugel, darunter ein Gesims mit je zwei Perlmutttropfen an beweglichen Kordelbändern. Min. best. Altrest.

Provenienz: laut Angabe des Einlieferers erworben 1971 in der Galerie Peter Lankoff, Freiburg i.Br.; seitdem Privatsammlung Dreisamtal.

Pair of gold earrings with glass pearls and mother-of-pearl
Probably Byzantine 6th - 7th C. AD. Yellow gold 22k (tested). Oval front, centrally set with one glass pearl each, underneath a cornice suspending two mother-of-pearl drops each on flexible cord ribbons. Slightly chipped. Restored.
H 4,1 cm. 5,3 g.
