Two Biedermeier brooches with heart motif and flower basket
Germany around 1840. Red gold 14k (tested) and tombac, gilt. Florally curved, openworked bar brooch with heart-shaped front, centrally set with three white opal cabochons weighing in total approx. 0,60 carats. Flower brooch with curved, diamond-shaped setting, in the centre a glazed picture field with applied miniature flower basket of dried grasses, glass beads, gold wire and fabric in front of a blue background.
