Decorative map of Central and East Africa with animal scenery, handpainted in polychrome colours. In the figural cartouche the area is described as the empire of the Christian priest John, who was suspected there in the 17th Century. Coloured by Dirck Jansz. van Santen (1637 Amsterdam - 1708 ibid.).

Dekorative, vielfarbig handkolorierte Karte von Zentral- und Ostafrika mit Tierstaffage. In der figuralen Kartusche wird die Gegend als Imperium des christlichen Priesters Johannes beschrieben, welcher dort im 17. Jahrhundert vermutet wurde. Koloriert von Dirck Jansz. van Santen (1637 Amsterdam - 1708 ebd.).
