Pair of duelling pistols in a box
Paris 19th C. Walnut burl wood and iron, as well as accessories made of other metals and materials. 12 pieces. Consisting of two percussion pistols and accessories. Fluted butt and front shaft with rich floral carving, lock and fittings with finely engraved ornamentation, octagonal barrel. Inscribed «Brier à Paris» on the barrel and on the lock plate. Accessories, including a cleaning rod and a ramrod, a screwdriver, a powder flask, a box with percussion caps, bullet tongs, a piston key, a hammer and an oil flask. Original walnut case with free brass field, lined with green cloth, with two small parts compartments and original lock. Maker's mark on pistols and in the cover of the box.
