Mohr-Westphal balance
Germany circa 1900. Brass, glass, iron and wood. Rectangular case, unequal-armed lever balance, weights, glass container and glass float.

The unequal-armed lever balance, named after the pharmacist Karl Friedrich Mohr and the instrument maker Georg Wilhelm Westphal, is used to determine the density of liquids by measuring the hydrostatic buoyancy.
