Rattanakosin Buddha Shakyamuni attended by animals in the Parileyaka Forest
Thailand 19th C. Bronze, with remains of old gilding. Meditating Buddha, enthroned on a rock, the feet resting on a lotus base, the left hand resting on the thigh, the right hand in varada mudra. Elongated ears and flame-ushnisha. A monkey and an elephant crouching on the floor in front of the throne, handing the Buddha water and a honeycomb.
H 25,5, W 11, D 21 cm.

Condition report
Good overall impression. Signs of age. Here and there minor scratches, visible solder joints in the area of the animals, cavities below the floor filled with cement.
