Silhouettentasse und Untertasse «Fridericus Rex»
Silhouette cup and saucer «Fridericus Rex». KPM, Berlin circa 1800. Porcelain, painted in polychrome colours and gold. Portrait of Frederick II King of Prussia set in relief laurel wreath obverse on the cup, in the well of the saucer crowned monogram «FR» in a laurel wreath. Wall of the cup and cavetto of the saucer decorated with bouquet of clover flowers. Underglaze blue sceptre mark and painter number «1.» respectively «2.».

Provenance: Lempertz, Berlin, auction A1065, 30.04.2016, lot 114; since then private collection North Rhine-Westphalia.

KPM, Berlin um 1800. Porzellan, polychrom bemalt und goldstaffiert. Porträt Friedrich II. König von Preußen in reliefiertem Lorbeerkranz eingefasst schauseitig auf Tasse, im Spiegel der Untertasse bekröntes Monogramm «FR» im Lorbeerkranz. Wandung der Tasse und Fahne der Untertasse mit Kleeblütenbuketts dekoriert. Unterglasurblaue Zeptermarke und Malernr. «1.» bzw. «2.».
