Gold earring with garnet and haematite
Eastern Mediterranean probably 4th C. AD. Yellow gold 22k (tested). French wire with oval front, set with an oval almandine cabochon, finished with a movable conical pendant, set with a haematite bead.
H 4,3 cm. 3,9 g.
Provenance: according to the consignor purchased at Jürgen Haering, Galerie am Museum, Freiburg i.Br., in 1974; since then private collection Dreisamtal.

Goldohrhänger mit Granat und Hämatit
Östlicher Mittelmeerraum wohl 4. Jh. n. Chr. GG 22 Kt. (geprüft). Bogenbrisur mit querovaler Schauseite, besetzt mit einem ovalen Almandincabochon, abschließend beweglicher kegelförmiger Hänger, besetzt mit einer Hämatitkugel.
H. 4,3 cm. 3,9 gr.
Provenienz: laut Angabe des Einlieferers erworben 1974 bei Jürgen Haering, Galerie am Museum, Freiburg i.Br.; seitdem Privatsammlung Dreisamtal.
