Grossé bow brooch
Henkel & Grosse, Pforzheim 1965. Yellow gold 18k. Round, curved and openworked front with finely engraved, stylised foliage. Hallmark, copyright mark, manufacturer's mark, dated 1965 and inscribed «Germany».
Diam.
The jewellery manufacturer from Pforzheim, founded in 1907, was already active for large fashion houses in the 1930s. His collaboration with Christian Dior, Paris, which began in 1955, made him a true global player in the jewellery industry. While the creations for Dior, which by the way are popular collectors' items, were produced as costume jewellery, Henkel & Grosse also made models in gold and silver. This brooch in 18k yellow gold embodies the lifestyle and chic of the 1960s that the Grossé brand stands for.
