After acquiring an old farm in Niederham in Chiemgau in 1968, Karl Fred Dahmen experienced an artistic reorientation. The group of works known as «Polsterbilder (upholstery pictures)» began. These «Tele-Landschaften (tele-landscapes)» correspond in their green colour to the gently undulating landscape of the artist's new home.
