«Curtsy». Biedermeier styled lady curtsying.
Berlin circa 1920. Cherrywood, carved and stained, ivory, carved, and portoro marble, polished. Verso signed on the base «F. Preiss».
H (including base) 23,5, W 12,5 cm.
«The Biedermeier lady has a second female figure in the same material as her counterpart, wearing a hat on her head. Both models were exhibited at the Leipzig sample fair in 1930 at the stand of Preiss & Kassler, Berlin. «Die Biedermeierdame hat als Pendant eine zweite weibliche Figur in gleichem Material, die einen Hut auf dem Kopf trägt. Beide Modelle wurden auf der Leipziger Mustermesse 1930 auf dem Stand von Preiss & Kassler, Berlin ausgestellt.
