With a quick brushstroke and a cool colour palette, Weber quotes what is probably the most prominent work in art history and one that still eludes any kind of unravelling. Unlike Leonardo's original, Weber depicts Mona Lisa's face laterally reversed and virtually freed from all interpretative staffage.
