Although Thomas Egel(-Goldschmidt) is a full-time musician, he also became interested in painting at an early age. As an autodidact, he acquired the necessary technical knowledge not only in painting but also in sculpture. His œuvre consists mainly of landscapes and village views from the Markgräflerland region, but portraits, still lifes and nudes also make up his work.
Provenance: private collection of a former director of the Sparkasse Markgräflerland.
