Stamped manufacturer's mark and stamped in iron-red «Heinrich-Elfenbein-Porzellan (Heinrich-ivory-porcelain)» as well as «Eigentum der deutschen Zeppelin-Reederei (property of the German Zeppelin airship company)».
Diam. (dining plate) 25,5, (starter plate) 20,5, H (creamer) 11, (mocha cup) 4, Diam. (saucer) 11 cm.
Simple and noble at the same time was the design by Franz Heinrich for the onboard tableware of the German Zeppelin fleet, which from 1935 bore the Zeppelin logo in front of a blue globe, and which was only produced for a short time. When the «Hindenburg» burst into flames during the landing in Lakehurst in 1937, the great age of airships was over. Among collectors, the onboard porcelain has long been a sought-after classic, which is available here in a rarely extensive collection.
