Splendid Rococo wall console
Probably Italy or South Germany circa 1730. Carved wood in relief, painted in ochre red and partially gilt. A massive body pointed towards the bottom with abundant, c-shaped curved leaf volutes symmetrically fanned out around a central, grotesque rocaille cartouche.
