Teller aus dem 2. Potsdamschen Service
Plate from the 2nd Potsdam service. KPM, Berlin circa 1768. Model «Reliefzierat». Porcelain, painted in polychrome colours and gold. Bouquet of flowers in the well, relief rod and rocaille decoration with flower tendrils and garlands on the cavetto. Underglaze blue sceptre mark and form number «003». Gold rubbed. Stand ring slightly chipped.
Diam. 26,2 cm.
In 1765 Frederick II ordered the 1st Potsdam service for the New Palace in Potsdam. Based on this model, the 2nd Potsdam Service was produced, which was also delivered in identical design to Frederick's brother-in-law, Margrave Karl Alexander von Brandenburg-Ansbach. The model was continued under the name «Reliefzierat» in different variations by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory (KPM).

deutsch KPM, Berlin um 1768. Porzellan, polychrom bemalt und goldstaffiert. Modell «Reliefzierat». Blumenbukett im Spiegel, reliefierter Stab- und Rocaillendekor mit Blumenranken und -girlanden auf Fahne. Unterglasurblaue Zeptermarke und Formnr. «003». Gold ber. Standring min best.
D. 26,2 cm.
Friedrich II. bestellte im Jahr 1765 das 1. Potsdamsche Service für das Neue Palais in Potsdam. Nach diesem Vorbild wurde das 2. Potsdamsche Service angefertigt, das in identischer Ausführung auch an Friedrichs Schwager, den Markgrafen Karl Alexander von Brandenburg-Ansbach, geliefert wurde. Das Modell wurde unter dem Namen «Reliefzierat» in verschiedenen Variationen von der Königlichen Porzellanmanufaktur weitergeführt.
