Roman oil lamp in shape of a wineskin
Probably 1st - 2nd C. AD. Bronze with patina. Four spherical feet, round animal-like body with opening at the neck. Three eyes on the body each with movable wire ring.
H 6, B 8 cm.
Provenance: according to the consignor purchased at the Galerie Peter Lankoff in 1971, Freiburg i.Br.; since then private collection Dreisamtal.

Römische Öllampe in Gestalt eines Weinschlauchs
Wohl 1. - 2. Jh. n. Chr. Bronze, mit Alterspatina. Vier Kugelfüße, rundlicher tierähnlicher Köper mit ausgestellter Halsöffnung. Leib mit drei Ösen und jeweils einem beweglichen Drahtring.
