Pair of Lunula gold earrings with garnet and mother-of-pearl
Probably Byzantine 6th - 7th C. AD. Yellow gold 22k (tested). Creoles with leverback, lunula pendant completely set with one garnet each and mother-of-pearl, thereon three structured strands each with mounted mother-of-pearl respectively garnet, granulated gold rings and mother-of-pearl beads. One mounted mother-of-pearl link chipped.

Provenance: according to the consignor purchased at the Galerie Peter Lankoff in 1973, Freiburg i.Br.; since then private collection Dreisamtal.

Paar Lunula Goldohrhänger mit Granat und Perlmutt
Wohl Byzantinisch 6. - 7. Jh. n. Chr. GG 22 Kt. (geprüft). Creolen mit Bügelbrisur, Lunula Hänger, vollständig besetzt mit je einem Granat und Perlmutt, daran je drei gegliederte Stränge aus gefasstem Perlmutt bzw. Granat, granulatdekorierten Goldringen und Perlmuttkugeln. Ein gefasstes Perlmuttglied best.
H. 4,7 cm. 6,6 gr.
Provenienz: laut Angabe des Einlieferers erworben 1973 in der Galerie Peter Lankoff, Freiburg i.Br.; seitdem Privatsammlung Dreisamtal.
