Pair of lidded vases with «Shuangxi» decor
China, Qing dynasty, Xianfeng 1850 - 1861. Porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. Baluster shaped body with blue-white tendril decor, isolated blossoms and meander frieze. On the body and the lid the Chinese symbol for double luck «Shuangxi» several times. Under each base a four character mark and an old label with the object's data.
H 45, Diam. 25 cm. Wooden base.
Condition report
Good condition. Signs of use inside. One lid chipped (approx.
1 cm) on the rim, isolated burn marks and small scratches. One wooden base with drying crack.
