Vishnu Narayana im Stil von Phnom Da
Altes Königreich Khmer, Kambodscha, Prä-Angkor Periode 7. Jh. Sandstein.
Provenienz: Privatsammlung Deutschland; ab 1980 Privatsammlung England; Koller, Zürich, Auktion A165AS, 08.05.2013, Los 406; seitdem Privatsammlung.

H (including base)
The temple sculpture is equipped with the Kiritamukuta, the crown of the world rulers. The adjacent arch fragments suggest a representation in the style of Phnom Da - the archaeological site on which the first representative of that figure with supporting arches stabilizing the four arms has been found.
Provenance: private collection Germany; since 1980 private collection Great Britain; Koller, Zurich, auction A165AS, 08.05.2013, lot 406; since then private collection.
