Georg Jensen ring with amethyst «model 154»
Designed by Henning Koppel (1918 - 1981) for Georg Jensen, Copenhagen 1970s. Silver 925. Solid ring band, protruding front, centrally set with an amethyst cabochon weighing 2 carats. Hallmark, manufacturer's mark, model number «154» and inscribed «DENMARK».
Ring size 54. 14,8 g.
The Danish manufactory Georg Jensen has been manufacturing products for various areas of life since 1904. The timeless design is particularly inspired by the Art Nouveau style and combines craftsmanship with functionality and beauty. Henning Koppel joined Georg Jensen as a silversmith in 1945. He focused especially on sculptural jewellery designs. The Model 154 ring is a distinctive and iconic piece in Koppel's oeuvre and is part of the collection of the British Museum in London.

Die dänische Manufaktur Georg Jensen stellt seit 1904 Produkte für diverse Lebensbereiche her. Das zeitlose Design ist besonders inspiriert vom Jugendstil und kombiniert Handarbeit mit Funktionalität und Schönheit. Henning Koppel trat als Silberschmied Georg Jensen 1945 bei. Er fokussierte sich besonders auf skulpturale Schmuckentwürfe. Der Ring Model 154 ist ein markantes und ikonisches Stück des Œuvres Koppels und ist Teil der Sammlung des British Museum in London.
