Wardrobes and linen cupboards ideally find their place in the bedroom or hallway. As there was often a lack of space in the bedrooms of the Biedermeier period due to the large number of children's beds, the so-called «Blender» was invented at this time, a linen cupboard that was disguised as a secretary and could thus also be placed in the living rooms.
