Late Romantic library cabinet with flower basket carving
Germany mid 19th C. Veneered walnut as well as glass and iron. Four block feet, upright oblong body with two doors each glazed in two parts. Doors with profiled reserve panels and trefoil-crowned round arch opening. Bevelled corners with volutes, profiled cornice, raised in the centre in the shape of a segment of a circle, enclosing a floral basket relief. Inside two drawers and above four shelves. Original lock.
H 238, W 143, D 55 cm. Two original keys.
Provenance: Robert von Hippel, Göttingen; by succession transferred to private property Opfingen.

Condition report
Good age-related condition. In the base area partially chipped, isolated small wormholes, here and there slight rubbings and small scratches on the drawers and shelves.
