Oil on canvas, relined. Unsigned. Verso on the stretcher inscribed badly legible «M. Armont Etierlle».
H 123,5, W 95,5 cm (support). Unframed.
Half-length portrait of a standing gentleman in armour and an ermine cloak, his hand on a helmet, around his neck on a ribbon the Order of the Golden Fleece.
Provenance: Kaupp, Sulzburg, auction A 045, 28.11.2009, Lot 2015; since then Bantikow Castle, Wusterhausen/Dosse.
