Drypoint with line and surface etching on Japon. Signed lower right and dated (19)71. Numbered 15/50 lower left. Dated «2 11 71» lower middle in the plate. Inscribed mirror-inverted «Hokusai war hier (Hokusai was here)» upper right.
Work from an edition of 50 signed copies, numbered in Arabic numerals by a different authorised hand as well as ten signed and in Roman numerals numbered copies, originally published as one of eight loose supplements to «Japanische Handzeichnungen» from 1975. Published by Gerhard Schack at Christians Verlag, Hamburg. Printed by Jens Cords and Hartmut Frielinghaus, Hamburg.
