H 35,
André Evard is an artist who stands out for his peculiar non-conformity. In the course of his long career Impressionism, Art Nouveau and Constructivist art have left their mark. In classical Impressionist manner, series are particularly important to Evard: again and again he approaches the theme of ‹roses› in different colours, forms and styles. In the overall view, a life's work emerges that eludes the strict categories of art history with carefree ease.
Provenance: private collection Kaiserstuhl.
