Set of four Louis XVI bow mirrors
Germany late 18th C. Carved and gilt wood as well as mirror glass. Upright oblong, profiled frame with circumferential bead and reel decor, at the upper end a console ending. Fronton symmetrically composed with central bow motif and fluttering ribbon hanging down on both sides.
H 148, W 41 cm.
Provenance: private property of the family of Neveu, Durbach.
Condition report
Good age-related condition. Gilding here and there considerably rubbed, frame slightly chipped in several places, original mirror glass partially blinded and with isolated cracks.
