Work from an edition of 5000 signed and numbered copies. Published by Luciano Anselmino, Turin. Realisation by Giorgio Barutti, Venice. Cast by Fonderie di Mirano, Venice.
The original unique piece was created by Man Ray in 1921 as a gift for the gallerist of his first exhibition, Philippe Soupault (1897 - 1990). Assembled directly on the spot, it became the artist's first readymade. Although nothing was sold during the exhibition, Man Ray's gift was stolen and remains missing to this day. In 1974, he authorised the multiple production of the work.
