Hochfeines Paar Empire-Armlehnstühle
Pair of high quality Empire armchairs. France circa 1810. Mahogany and bronze. High quality silk velvet cover. Upholstery in good condition. Good restored condition.
This pair of chairs resembles in structure and decoration a chair from the cabinet of the former governor of the Banque de France, made by François Honoré Georges Jacob Desmalter circa 1800 in Paris. The chair is part of the collection of the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris.

Frankreich um 1810. Mahagoni und Bronze. Tatzenfüße, Spitzbeine, gepolsterte Sitzfläche, nach hinten gebogte Rückenlehne in Armlehnen übergehend. Armlehnen mit ägyptisierten Köpfen. Beine und Rückenlehne mit Rosetten- und Akanthusblattbeschlägen. Hochwertiger Seidenvelourbezug auf gut erhaltener Polsterung. Guter, rest. Zustand.

Das vorliegende Stuhlpaar ähnelt in Aufbau und Dekor stark dem Fauteuil für das Cabinet des ehemaligen Gouverneurs der Banque de France, welches François Honoré Georges Jacob Desmalter um 1800 in Paris fertigte. Der Stuhl befindet sich in der Sammlung des Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris.
