Pendant with three-headed hybrid creature
Probably Tairona, Colombia circa 1200 AD. Tumbaga. Reclining hybrid creature with three sculptured heads, predator head with snake in mouth winding around the body. Chest worked as an eyelet.

Examination report: Prof. Dr. Ernst-Ludwig Richter, Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Stuttgart, 04.02.1991, in copy. Spectral-analytical examination of a sample of 16 gold objects from the private collection K., in which the dating circa 1200 AD was affirmed.
Provenance: according to the consignor purchased in the art trade before 1990; since then private collection K., Freiburg i.Br.
