Astronomical cathedral clock with so-called perpetual calendar
Jean-Baptiste Delettrez, Paris around 1880. Walnut and brass. Upright rectangular wooden case with drawer and two dials, framed by four neo-Gothic pinnacles and crowned by a finial. Enamel chapter ring with Roman minute scale, skeletonised movement, Louis XVI hands. Inscribed on a plate «J.B. Delettrez 62 Rue Charlot». Underneath an enamel chapter ring with month display and Arabic perpetual ring. In the centre, slightly deepened, display for moon phase, weekday and date. Verso dial inscribed «J.B. Delettrez, 62 Rue Charlot». Eight-day movement, striking on two chime rods. Movement numbers «6/61» and «22540».
