After Francesco Bassano II Italy probably 18th C. «Die Allegorie der Luft (the allegory of the air)». Oil on canvas, relined. Unsigned. Verso an old printed label of auction house J.M. Heberle (H. Lempertz' Söhne), Cologne, circa 1900, thereon partially handwritten inscribed «Auction Wallis II, No. 135, Ankäufer: Grundert (?)». Trimmed at the upper margin. Restored.
Copy after the painting of the same name by Francesco Bassano II (1549 - 1592).
Provenance: private possession Freiburg merchant family.
