Ludwig Köhler's elongated steles literally resist being brought into a static, perpetual position. As «Lehnobjekte (leaning objects)» they only gently touch a wall and represent a fragile connection to the floor. They seem to be casually placed and yet intend to powerfully occupy the space surrounding them without dominating it.
