The Mille Miglia «Thousand Miles» stands for one of the most prestigious Italian car races from 1927 to 1957. Since 1977, the nostalgic re-run has taken place annually, sometimes with over 400 vintage racing cars, and is now one of the classics of endurance road racing. In 1988, Chopard became the official partner of the Mille Miglia, whereupon the eponymous watch collection was first launched in the same year. «Lovers of beautiful cars often have a soft spot for fine timepieces - and vice versa. Extreme precision and sporty elegance are important in both domains,» says Karl-Friedrich Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard.
