Black Forest lacquered shield clock «dye works»
Black Forest mid 19th C. Wood, painted in polychrome colours, iron and brass. Lacquered shield with finely painted dyer's scene in the arch and seasonal depictions in the spandrels, inscribed «Anton Rümler». Roman minute scale and Arabic minute ring, brass hands. 24-hour movement striking on a coil gong.
H 43, W 30 cm. Pendulum, two weights and bracket.
