Half cabinet with laurel frieze and floral painting
Italy mid 19th C. Softwood, primed in red tones, painted in polychrome colours and gold, as well as marble. Four wave-shaped pointed legs, rectangular, single-door body, framed on the upper and lower rims by gilt egg-and-dart, tongue and acanthus reliefs, respectively, with bevelled, finely carved laurel columns at the corners, red-sand coloured marble top. Recessed door panel with rich volute painting in gold and polychrome floral painting. Interior with two shelves.

Condition report
Good original condition. Partial scratches, red-toned priming cracked, three vertical stress cracks in the door panel, partially missing parts on the gilded friezes. Marble top slightly chipped at the back corners. Body and door panel covered with fabric on the inside, several small drilled holes in the back wall, probably from earlier mountings. Key added later.
